FileTrek announces SharePoint tracking solution
By SPTechWeb Newswire
July 31, 2012 —
On July 22nd, FileTrek announced their new integration with SharePoint technology at the upcoming SharePoint Technology conference in Boston. FileTrek for SharePoint gives users an additional layer of security to their collaboration and document management activities, with seamless visibility into how data flows through the enterprise – enhancing what the SharePoint repository offers. SharePoint combined with FileTrek’s robust tracking capabilities allows companies to stay in sync, while protecting their data.
Key benefits include:
• Complete IP audit trail
• Monitor data after documents are downloaded from the SharePoint repository
• Sync to multiple devices and co-workers
• Boost SharePoint adoption rates by removing extra steps to collaboration
• Collaborate on projects and receive automatic updates at both the SharePoint library and user’s desktop
A File-Trek enabled document library can be added to any SharePoint site through a software agent on the end user’s desktop, which is delivered through the active directory. All files added to or downloaded from a FileTrek-enabled library are tracked by the agent. Any changes made to a file on the desktop are automatically synced back into the SharePoint library as a new version. Users can see all the changes that have been made to a file in the SharePoint Filemap reports. Administrators can access reports detailing user activity, file location, duplication, access and changes. Visit
