Telerik Introduces SharePoint Acceleration Kit

March 9, 2011 — A community technology preview of Telerik’s SharePoint Acceleration Kit was made available today at the Australia SharePoint conference in Sydney. The kit bundles such Web Parts as Grid, Editor, Charts, Scheduler and ListView.

With the offering, Telerik is bringing many of its components that are familiar to .NET developers to the SharePoint platform, according to Todd Anglin, chief evangelist at Telerik. “We cover all major Microsoft UI platforms” with developer tools, he said.

The goal of the release is to help make developers more productive by bringing its UI and data visualization technology to SharePoint, so they can build line-of-business applications more quickly and easily while delivering to end users an better experience, according to the company’s announcement of the CTP release.
